Moviechrome launched its Tabletop department in 2018, becoming a benchmark service on the international Special Effects market.
We are proud to introduce our state-of-the-art Moviechrome Pixel Reality studio Led Volume, a cornerstone in virtual production and the first studio in Europe powered by Absen PR technology with a 2.5 pixel pitch resolution. This platform has been specifically crafted for virtual production, ensuring hyper-realistic outputs, a high contrast ratio and unparalleled color fidelity.

Our Ledvolume Studio 2 is an open space of 170 square meters and seamlessly connects with Studio 1 and Studio 0, expanding the overall area to 900 square meters when required.
The main ledwall is suspended, ensuring no gap exists between the ledwall and the floor.
We utilise a pre-calibrated Alexa 35 along with an extensive range of pre-calibrated cinema lenses (Cooke S8, Cooke Anamorphic Full Frame + SF, Zeiss Supreme, Blackwing Tribe7 T Tuning, Leica Summicron, Canon V35, Angenieux Ez1 Zooms, Arri Macro, Laowa Borescope), all in the service of optimizing both time and financial resources for production companies.
As an open-source technology, we warmly welcome all post-production houses. We use Unreal Engine.

After a long experience in the Special Effects world, Andrea was Head of the SFX Department at 360fx for seven years. Looking for new professional adventures, he joined Moviechrome Sfx as a leading figure in 2018. Andrea's complete mastery of all special effects techniques and ability to create cutting-edge rigs make him the ideal SFX professional for high-end Tabletop directors.
An experienced Sfx Professional and many Tabletop directors' frequent collaborator, Patrizio joined Andrea Bonomi's team to elevate Moviechrome's Special Effects department to a level never seen before. Patrizio's all-encompassing expertise in Tabletop shoots and exceptional know-how in motion control technologies make him a unique figure on the international Special Effects market.
Franco's lifelong on-set professional experience culminated in the encounter with Andrea Bonomi ten years ago, who introduced him to the Special Effects world. Franco's extraordinary expertise and reliability make him a first-class Special Effects technician within Moviechrome Sfx Team, as well as any top-notch professional's ideal collaborator.
Over the entire span of his professional career, Gigi has stood out for his boundless knowledge of lighting systems and refined ability to control light. With countless works under his belt, he's one of the most trusted and qualified gaffers in Italy.
The most sophisticated Tabletop shoots require motion control systems - therefore Federico's expertise. His cleverness and fast execution make him an ideal motion control operator. Federico is also a light mixer technician: his specialization allows him to control light transitions and motion-controlled movements on a single timeline.
